To heal a tattoo, you have to wait for a few days because it is not something that can be healed in a single day. However, if you become consistent towards the TATTOO Healing process and its aftercare tips, it will benefit you. on average, the healing process takes up to 6 months to be healed. The healing process of a tattoo depends on two things: one is the type of tattoo, and another is the ink used for making a tattoo.

Different steps for tattoo healing

  • Experiencing oozing, irritation and redness –the first step is when a person is experiencing oozing, irritation and redness. Usually, the tattoo artist uses a bandage when they are done with making a tattoo. After a few days, you can remove the bandage as you will see fluid coming out from the tattoo. This is because your skin is very sensitive and becomes red. It is normal to see fluid coming out from the skin, also called weeping. This fluid will only last for a week, and in case you are experiencing any major issues, then you must communicate with a doctor.

  • Itching nearby or on the wound –The next step is experiencing itching nearby or on the wound. This is caused when your tattoo is not healed and is still a wound. Do not scratch the tattoo otherwise, and it will start causing itching. Instead, it is better to apply a gentle lotion on your skin. If you are experiencing too much itching, then you can also apply an ice pack to that area to lower the itching. If it becomes unbearable for you to overcome itching, you must contact the doctor.

  • Peeling –In the third and fourth week, your tattoo will start to get peeled. This is a very natural response for curing injuries. This is the sign that your tattoo has started healing.

Tips for healing and aftercare

When a month is completed after getting an inked tattoo then, it starts looking vibrant on your skin. Basically, healing time depends on the area where you have an inked tattoo. If it is near the wrist or ankle, it will take longer to get healed. If you have gone through intricate colours, then also it will take more time. Always make sure that you have cleaned your tattoo properly by using a hypoallergic soap.
